Dr. Dre Talks His New Album, Compton: A Soundtrack

The last time we got an album from rap icon/producer/entrepreneur Dr. Dre was 2001, back in 1999! Though it's not the long awaiting Detox LP, it's certainly the next best thing. According to the Rolling Stone, Dre is releasing the soundtrack for the upcoming biopic about N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton.

Dre recently revealed, "Compton: The Soundtrack" will drop this week on August 7 and be available exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music. The album will feature everyone from Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar to Marsha Ambrosius, the Game and more. There will be 16-tracks in all and it can be pre-ordered here.
