Today in Tha Wire on Sunday October 23, 2016, just ahead of his 30th birthday, Drake gifted fans.  He made a special announcement on his OVO Sound Radio, which by the way airs on iTunes, that he's gearing up to drop some new music at the end of the year. As previously announced Drake had to cut the Summer Sixteen tour short, due to an ankle injury.  I'm sure ticket holders for the remaining dates weren't happy about that, but the OVO MC did promise to make things up to them.  Matter of fact, Drizzy is going back on the road as early as January.  The tour is call the Consequence Of Sound and so far there's only dates for Europe. When and if U.S. dates or the second leg itinerary is announced, I'll bring you the details.

In the meantime, Drake's obviously got a bunch of music in the can and it already gearing up to share it.  Sunday he announced the new project is going to be called, More Life. HipHollywood reports on his radio show on Sunday he said,

“I want to do a playlist. I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life,” he said. “And most people would like go probably take a break, but for me I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again.”

Fans can expect his new project in December and in the meantime uploaded a melody of sorts to include the new tracks; Two Birds, One Stone; Sneakin; Wanna Know (Remix) and Fake Love. Take a listen below!

Whatcha a think?  By the way, using the ol school pic of his dad on the cover is sweet. This has been a huge year for Drake.  His album Views dropped in April and is already triple platinum, spending nine weeks at #1 centrally playing a role in that accomplishment. Not to mention the fact that he broke Apples record of being the first artist to score 1 billion streams with the album.  An among one of his biggest feats was beating Michael Jackson's record with what Billboard calls ”the longest-ever simultaneous domination of the two rankings by a male artist,” for the song 'One Dance.'

So big ups to Drizzy on a big year and happy birthday to Mr. OVO, who turns 30-years old today.  That's Tha Wire, tune in every weekday at 12:50 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. only on The Peoples Station 107 Jamz.
