Drake has previously shown his admiration for Lauryn Hill in the past and it looks like he may be tapping the Fugees singer for a new song. A snippet of the "God's Plan" hitmaker collaboration with Hill was previewed by her son, Joshua Omaru Marley, earlier this week (March 13), and fans of both artists will not be disappointed.

The brief snippet of the forthcoming record was posted to Marley's Snapchat, who revealed that he is the only person with the song and won't be sharing it. Eagle-eyed Drake fans got a taste of the song a while back when it was previewed on Soundcloud by a Twitter user, who was later served with a cease and desist letter by Drake's record label Universal Music Group. The unconfirmed letter revealed that the song may be titled "Showin' Off."

On the track, Drizzy is heard rhyming about independent women over a sample from Lauryn's "Ex-Factor" hit song from her 1998 album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

“You’ve been inside, know you like to lay low,” Drake spits. “I’ve been peepin’ what you bringing to the table/Working hard, girl, everything paid for.”

It's hard to tell if this collaboration is a Drake song that features the sample from the veteran vocalist, or if there will be some new lyrics to come from Ms. Hill herself. We'll have to wait and see what happens when the full song hits our ears sometime in the future.

Take a listen to the snippet of Drake and Lauryn Hill's collaboration in the video below, and the tweet picturing the cease and desist letter below that.
