Today in Tha Wire Drake filed sued against Instagram model Layla Lace, for accusing him of rape, making false allegations and trying to extort him for millions. EOnline reports in April 2017, Lace took to social media claiming she was dating the Young Money MC, but when she told him she was pregnant he went ghost. Drake clapped back and said, she fabricated a "Fantasy Relationship," when all it was..was a one-night stand. The rapper says in his lawsuit, what really set her off, is he wasn't looking for no relationship with her.

Last year Lace posting on her IG page, "So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone!!!" She uploaded an alleged printout of a lab pregnancy test order, trying to prove her case. E! reports, she later deleted her account, but she wasn't down. She came with the same story in an interview on Sirius XM's Shade 45. Lace doubled-down on being pregnant for the rapper/singer. When Jazzie Bell asked her if she was sure the baby is Drake's she answered, "100 percent sure."

On Tuesday (Sept. 18, 2018) this week, Drake's attorney, Larry Stein, filed suit against the Gram model on grounds of civil extortion, fraud, emotional distress, defamation, and abuse of process. According to reports Drizzy isn't denying the two hooked up. He's denying having a relationship with Lace, and to being the father of her child...if one exists. E! reports the legal docs state Drake admits to having "consensual, protected sex" with the woman. They hooked up in a hotel room, while his Boy Meets World Tour was in Manchester, England, last February.

TMZ reports the lawsuit states, "there is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last fall."  The docs further state, Lace felt played because Drake sent her home. That she was upset that he wasn't interested in having a relationship, and wouldn't let her go on tour with him. Soon after Lace claimed she was pregnant, and threatened to go public, if he didn't give her hush money. An attorney claiming to represent Lace, reportedly reached out to Stein, demanding money for their clients child support and to keep quiet.

Drakes legal team countered by demanding Lace take a paternity test. Lace refused to do so. Then changed her story. She filed rape charges against the star with New York police, claiming Drake assaulted her in Manchester. A investigation was launched, and Drake was brought in for questioning. NYPD found no proof to corroborate her story, the Canadian superstar was cleared of all charges, and the case was closed.

After all that, Drake's taking her to court. Stein said, "It would have been easy for Drake to pay for silence. However, Drake does not want to take the easy way out. Layla and her attorneys underestimated Drake's steadfast resolve not to pay hush money to avoid negative publicity arising from fabricated claims. He looks forward to holding Layla and those working in concert with her responsibly for he egregious misconduct."

The stars attorney added, "Drake preferred that he would not have to further engage with Layla in any way," His legal team said "She made that outcome impossible, however, with her behavior and he had no choice but to file this action to expose Layla for the opportunist that she is and prove his case in a court of law." So far Layla's camp has made no comment in being sued. I hope for her sake, she's got some receipts. I'll keep you posted.
