The Easter celebration kicks off early for the kids in SWLA as the Recreation and Parks Department hosts Easter Egg Hunts for kids 12 and under at parks and recreation sites throughout Lake Charles, as well as "Just for Seniors" events. There were nine (9) events in total, but only four (4) events remain and are all free and open to the public.

  • Wed., March 28, an egg hunt is planned from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for Cpl. Donald Ray Stevens Center, located at 1619 Cessford St.
  • Thurs., March 29, an egg hunt is planned from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the J.D. Clifton Community Center, located at 2415 E. Gieffers St.
  • SENIOR egg hunts and Socials will be held on Tues., March 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Henry Heights Center, located at 801 E. School St., and the Clifton Community Center, located at 2415 E. Gieffers St.
