Finally,  Complex magazine just released a video featuring hip-hop writer, podcaster and former entertainment lawyer, Reggie Osse' explaining why Lil Wayne is suing Cash Money.  Osse' better known as Combat Jack, used to negotiate major contracts for artists like Jay Z and DMX back in the day.  In the newly released video, he goes into detail on why and how Weezy came up with the $51 million figure he's suing Cash Money for.

At this point, it's unclear if Jacks is working with or for Lil Wayne on this, but he sure knows a lot of the lawsuit.  For starters, he claims Weezy negotiated his contract with Cash Money at least three times. The first time was in January 2005, the second in 2006 and most recently in 2009.  According Jacks, each time Lil Wayne's contract was re-negotiated it had to do with the rapper getting higher royalties, more money when he does duet albums and higher advances.

Supposedly, Wayne should've made $10 million on Tha Carter V album alone.  Jacks says Tunechi's deal stipulated that he would get $8 million in advance and another $2 million when he completed the album.  But that didn't happen.  TheBoomBox reports court docs do show that Lil Wayne was only paid $2 million out of the initial $8 million he was own and that he never received another dime, even after he completed and turned the album in.  That's just the half of it, there's an even bigger issue over the funds from Young  Money.

So you'll know all the court documents from the lawsuit are available online, but unless your up on the legal terminology, chances are you wont understand much.  Thanks to Combat Jack, he breaks it all down.   Peep the video below for all the details.
