It's that time of the year again all of my friends. We are less then 2 weeks away from Christmas and besides spending time with family and friends. Some folks may go to the movies to see something current. But if you're not watching games that day or parades. If you're like me, you're sitting around watching Christmas movies.

I love to compile a list of some of my favorites that I used to watch when I was younger up until now. While there are not alot of new Christmas movies to talk about here are some of my favorites.

Friday After Next- This is the last current movie in the Friday saga and features Ice Cube, Mike Epps and Katt Williams. Craig and Day Day get jobs as mall security and the movie follows their apartment getting broken into and them trying to find out who the thief is. Although it's a Christmas themed movie, they show it all year long and it's always funny.

Bad Santa- This movies was another funny from the beginning to the end. From Billy Bob Thorton and I believe the last movie made from John Ritter. It's not a family friendly movie, but all adults will laugh from the beginning to the end.

Home Alone- As a younger person this movie was funny, but I believe it would be very unbelievable today. There is no way a mother is going to leave the house without making a check of all of her kids and seeing to it that they are together. At the time seeing a young kid totally wreck these grown men was very funny to me.

Elf- Comedian and funny man Will Ferell made Saturday Night Live to me when he was on the show and when he appeared in the movie "Elf" he killed the character and brought the funny as only he knew how. This is one of those movies that you don't have to wait til Christmas to watch, just check it out anytime and laugh like crazy.

A Christmas Story- "You'll Shoot you eye out" is the most memorable phrase that came from this movie. There was nothing like having a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun. This is what the little boy in the movie wanted from Christmas and by now you know he went through all kinds of trouble to convince them to buy him one. I have this in my collection and every now and then when I want a summer laugh, I stick it in the player.

Scrooged- There is nothing more miserable then the story of Scrooge. This one played by Bill Murray is the epitome of Debbie Downer and regardless of how many Scrooge movies are made, this is one of the funnier ones. It's basically the same story of the guy not having any love for Christmas and eventually being convinced in the end that Christmas is a wonderful holiday.

This Christmas- With an allstar cast, this is one of those movies that will be classics for families for years to come. Chris Brown sung his tail off in the movie and with Loretta Devine, Idris Elba and Regina King just to name a few. They made the movie and showed how families can overcome obstacles during the holiday.

A Charlie Brown Christmas- This is a classic regardless of what age you are. There is no way that you have not seen this movie in some form or rather in it's entirety. While it has been a while since I have seen it, I still had to place this on my list as one of those to see this year.

National Lampoon Christmas Vacation-  The Griswalds are the family that you may not want to live next door to, but they are also a hoot to be around. The movie is real to me as we all have family members who are either overly excited about Christmas or not excited enough. You can say Christmas without mentioning this movie.

The Perfect Holiday- This is a great movie for the entire family or maybe a sit around and enjoy someone special movie. The movie features Faizon Love, Morris Chestnut, Gabrielle Union, Terrance Howard and more. There are times where we feel if we spend the money then we are cool, but sometimes having that time with your family members is all you have to have to enjoy the holidays.
