American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Cancer Walk

Thousands of local breast cancer survivors, volunteers, businesses and community members will walk together as a unified force to end breast cancer at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K walk. This noncompetitive, inspirational event raises awareness and funds to help end breast cancer by supporting the Society’s efforts to find cures and support programs and services for all people facing the disease. Southwest Louisiana’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is one of more than 270 walks being held across the country this year.
The event is Saturday, October 6th, 2012. Registration starts at 7:00 a.m, opening ceremonies start at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at Heritage Square, Sulphur, LA. For more information, visit makingstridesswla.org
