The second annual Earth Day basketball tournament will be held April 19-21. The classic will take place at Hamilton Christian Academy, 1415 8th St; Barbe High School, 2200 W McNeese St; and Lake Charles Charter Academy, 3160 Power Center Parkway.
Boys and girls from fifth through tenth grade will be participating. Teams will be arriving from all over the state including Texas and Mississippi. Estimated attendance for last year’s first-time event was close to 1,000 people.
Friday night’s game will take place at Hamilton Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Saturday games will occur at each facility beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 per day.
