Registration is Now Open for Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana's Annual Education/Family Empowerment Conference and Resource Fair-"KEYS TO SUCCESS." The Conference/Resource fair will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the Lake Charles Civic Center on the 2nd Floor in the Contraband Room & Mezzanie areas, 900 Lakeshore Drive, Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Charlene Comstock-Galagan = Bullying Prevention

As a special education teacher for 10 years, Charlene taught students with various disability labels in self contained and resource settings. Teaching in a pilot inclusive education program changed so much for Charlene. After moving back to Louisiana, Charlene founded I.D.E.A Works. Now as Coordinator of Training and Development for Families Helping Families of Jefferson, Charlene continues activities in which she has been long engaged providing training and consultation on special education issues to families, parent organizations and school districts.

AREA PROVIDER/AGENCY RESOURCE FAIR - Information tables from area agencies that provide services to individuals with disabilities and their families. Conference participants can stop by and visit resource booths where local agencies and organizations will spotlight services and support available throughout Southwest Louisiana.
