Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau Honor Transportation Employees at Lake Charles Regional Airport
The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau will honor the local air transportation staff on Friday, May 10, during National Tourism Week at the Lake Charles Regional Airport.
In honor of Transportation Appreciation Day, the bureau staff partnered with the Lake Charles Regional Airport to provide lunch for the employees. The bureau will also showcase a Cajun band to create a lively atmosphere for visitors at the airport. The band, Three Cajuns and Leroy 2, will entertain between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and the media are invited to experience the warm welcome and local flavor for visitors flying into Lake Charles.
As tourism brought $358 million to Calcasieu Parish last year, the bureau celebrates National Tourism Week to create awareness of tourism’s impact.
