The Louisiana High School Rodeo Association (LHSRA) will be hosting the Louisiana High School & Junior High School Rodeo Finals at the Burton Coliseum Complex May 31 - June 8. With upgrades on the facility and branding enhancements, the Burton Coliseum Complex is ready to welcome more than 300 contestants from across the state striving to be named champion and qualify for the national finals.

JUNIOR HIGH RODEO:

§ 6:30 p.m. – “Louisiana Saturday Night Mardi Gras Grand Entry Theme”

HIGH SCHOOL RODEO:

§ Military Appreciation Night – all members of the military will be able to enter at no charge by showing their military ID

§ Elected Officials will be recognized

The LHSRA is a charter member of the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA), which has a membership of 41 states, five Canadian provinces and Australia. There are more than 12,500 6th through 12th graders in the NHSRA. The top four Louisiana contestants in each event will qualify for the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyo. and the top four junior high qualifiers will travel to Gallup, N.M. later this summer.

Admission is $7 and children six and under may enter for free for all performances and slack. Armbands will be sold for $25 for admission to all five performances/slack of the Junior High Rodeo and $30 for the High School Rodeo. Armbands may be purchased at the first performance of the Junior High or High School Finals Rodeo.
