Additional Information

The best Louisiana swimmers of all ages will compete March 7-10 at the Sulphur Parks and Recreation Aquatic Center, 933 W. Parish Road.

Louisiana Swimming is the local affiliate of USA Swimming and conducts two championships a year. The spring championship is a short course, 25 yards, and the summer championship is a long course, 50 meters.

Over 650 swimmers will be entered into the spring meet ranging from 9 to 19 years old and will include most of the 2012 high school state champions. Qualifying rounds will begin each day at 9 a.m., and finals will kick-off at 4:30 p.m.

There are 29 club programs in the state ranging from small (25 swimmers or less) to large (200 plus swimmers). The tournament brings around 1,200 to 1,500 spectators to Southwest Louisiana for the weekend.

Meet information, time-lines, and a ranking of the swimmers can be found on the Spartan Swimming website at www.spartanswimming.com.
