“Transforming the Southern University System: From Good to Great” Statewide Tour

Dr. Ronald Mason, Jr., president of the Southern University system and members of his staff will conduct a meet and greet during a statewide tour Sunday, Aug. 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, 910 N. Shattuck St, Lake Charles.
The tour gives Dr. Mason a chance to speak to prospective students and their parents, friends of Southern and the Jaguar Nation, and anyone interested in getting firsthand knowledge of the state of the Southern University system. Dr. Mason will speak on the "Reform and Renewal Agenda," which charts a new exciting path for Southern, understanding that the path to the future is built on the traditions of the past.
The "Bayou Classic Roadshow" featuring the Bayou Classic RV will also join the tour and provide exciting promotions for Southern University and Grambling State University, the 40th annual Bayou Classic football game, and the Battle of the Bands and parade held in New Orleans over the Thanksgiving weekend.
