Fat Joe just dropped a bit of a bombshell on ESPN. The D.I.T.C. member appeared on Highly Questionable today (May 16) and revealed the identity of the New York Knicks player referenced in The Notorious B.I.G.'s "I Got a Story to Tell." Fat Joe told hosts Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones that Anthony Mason was the Knick that Biggie was talking about.

"I could tell you but I don't wanna be disrespectful," Fat Joe said before revealing the name. "It was about Anthony Mason. That was... you know. That was about Ant Mason. Ant Mason's my brother. I love Ant Mason. But you gotta also know that rappers... This is entertainment, so we stretch the truth. We change things up."

For those unfamiliar with the song, The Notorious B.I.G. raps about sleeping with a Knicks player's woman.

"She get dick from a player off the New York Knicks/N---a tricked ridiculous, the shit was plush/She's stressing me to fuck like she was in a rush/We fucked in his bed, quite dangerous/I'm in his ass while he playing against the Utah Jazz," Biggie raps.

Fat Joe did clarify that this wasn't a 100 percent certainty. But the rapper said that Mason being the Knick in question was a strong possibility.

"What I heard was it was about Anthony Mason," Fat Joe explained. "That was the rumor. That was the very strong possibility rumor. It was about Anthony Mason."

The late Anthony Mason, who passed away last year, does fit the profile of the description that The Notorious B.I.G. gave on the song. In the outro, Biggie said the player was "one of the 6'5" n---as." Mason was listed at 6'7" and played for the Knicks from 1991-1996.
