Feds Concern About Juelz Santana's Mental Health, Rapper Responds

Juelz Santana’s mental state is being questioned by a federal court officer who is assigned to supervise the embattled rapper.

According to Bossip, federal pretrial services officer Jennifer Powers filed a report to the judge stating that the Dipset rhymer needs a mental health evaluation and treatment as soon as possible. The officer didn’t explain what prompted her to suggest that Santana needed mental treatment, but the judge took her recommendation so seriously that he ordered the request the same day.

It’s understandable that Santana is going through a boatload of stress right now. He’s currently awaiting trial after being indicted on weapons charges stemming from his March incident in which TSA found a loaded firearm and drugs in his luggage at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Santana is praying that the judge will be lenient on him when he is sentenced. “I’m not a bad guy,” he said. “Family man, just praying for the best outcome. “Put it in God’s hands at the end of the day."

Santana is also going through some financial struggles with his New Jersey home as well. Most recently, the 36-year-old rapper backed out of a Dipset’s Reunion Tour after her was granted permission to tour as long as his mother accompanies him. Santana claimed the “bag wasn’t right” as his reason for why he didn’t join the trek.

On Saturday (June 30), Santana went on his Instagram page to address the “mental health” reports. The rapper shared a photo of himself dressed in camouflage with a diamond-encrusted Diplomats chain around his neck. The caption reads, “U Crazy For 4 Believing Every Thing U Hear...”

Juelz Santana is facing up to 20 years in prison when the case heads to trial.
