Say what you want about Aubrey Drake Graham, but he continues to get the last laugh at everything he embarks on.  The first week sales numbers are in for the ‘6 God’ rappers surprise retail mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,’ and the numbers are phenomenal! The album debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 list this week.

In comparison to where record sales have been over the past decade, by the skin of his chinny chin chin Drake's new album has sold over 530,000 units, 495,000 of those from online sales, and the rest from online streaming.

Accroding to AllHipHop,

IYRTITL barely missed hitting gold sales in its opening week. Drizzy’s surprise overnight release accounted for 495,000 digital downloads. With track equivalent albums (NEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA) added in, the tape’s final total comes to 535,000 units.

The success of If You’re Reading This on Spotify contributed to the SEA count. Drake’s first “mixtape” since So Far Gone shattered the streaming service’s debut-week record with 23.6 million streams in just four days.

Congratulations are in store for Drizzy, we hope he continues to shatter those numbers in the weeks to come. We definitely purchased it!
