Former Wu Tang Affiliate Sues TMZ For Falsely Reporting He Cut His Penis Off

Today in Tha Wire according to the Hollywood Reporter, Marques Johnson, better known as Andre Roxx of the Killa Beez, used to be associated with the Wu Tang Clan. However, his rep and career has suffered greatly ever since an April 2014 story hit the news. The story was reported by a variety of news entities, including TMZ and wrongly reported that he cut-off his penis and jumped off the balcony of his apartment.

Marquis Johnson's complaint also points out there a several differences between him and Christ Bearer. They have the same last name and were in association with the Wu Tang Clan. However that's the only two things they have in common. There's no physical resemblance between the two because Marquis has green eyes and at least ten years younger than the other guy. Not to mention the fact that he was in jail at the time the incident took place.

So this looks like it's going to be an expensive case of mistaken identity on behalf of TMZ and other news outlets. How much is the question? For now that number is being kept under wraps. In the meantime according to reports since being released from prison in June 2015, Marquis hasn't been able to rebuild his musical career because promoters see him as too "risky" to book due to the bad publicity. Even worse, the Wu crew has allegedly distanced themselves from him. Marquis claims shortly after the original story broke the iconic rap group "immediately denounced any affiliation with him, posting on their blog that 'This m********* ain't got s*** to do with the WUTANG brand."
