Using this year's theme, kids will engage in exciting hands-on art projects to express various ways we can recycle and save our planet. Education through art is a fun and entertaining way to learn new things for kids of all ages.

Local organizations and businesses will have creative booths where children will be encouraged to have fun producing unique works of art. Each booth will allow children to stretch their thinking by using different materials to create their art. Items include everything from paint and markers, to sculpting supplies and various craft pieces. At the end of the day, kids can take all their masterpieces home!

ArtFest 2017 is sponsored by the Arts Council of SWLA, City of Lake Charles, Stine Lumber, and the Office of Cultural Development. For more details about this free art event, call the Arts Council office at (337) 439-2787.
