Though most parents have figured it out, some haven't and it's super important that your child/children are retrained properly. After all, it REALLY is about life and death. These checks will be conducted by child passenger safety technicians who will provide hands-on child safety seat inspections and answer questions at no charge. So, you'll be in good hands.
Calling on all area parents, grand parents and caregivers, this event will take place at Lake Charles Toyota located at 3905 Gerstner Memorial Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Don't let your children be a statistic. It's estimated that 3 out of 4 car seats are being misused. This car seat check event is a great opportunity for caregivers to ensure their child is in an age and weight appropriate child restraint. On top of that have the car seat checked and/or installed absolutely free.
There's no doubt about it, car seats and booster seats save lives. They simply offer the best protection for your children in the event of a crash. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over the past 30 years, nearly 9,000 lives have been saved by the use of child restraints. So take advantage of this free service.
This event is being brought to you by, Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, Lake Charles Toyota as well as Louisiana State Police Troop D, Impact Lake Charles AmeriCorps, and the Ward 1 (Moss Bluff) Fire Department.
