French Montana Donates $100,000 to Uganda’s Mama Hope Organization

French Montana might love to embrace fame through his lavish partying, but the Bronx native is also using his platform and fortune to do amazing things in the world. The "Pop That" rapper recently took an enlightening trip to Uganda in February, where he filmed the visuals to his "Unforgettable" hit single with Swae Lee. Now, the superstar is donating to one of the country's most impactful organizations.

According to Billboard, Montana has just donated $100,000 to the Mama Hope organization, which he also dedicated his 'Unforgettable Dance Challenge' on social media to. The charity supports global entrepreneurship to help end extreme poverty in the African country. Reports say Montana heard about Mama Hope through a mutual friend, and went to meet with the children at the Suubi Center. His donation will go towards building the Suubi Health Center, as well as funding local blood banks in Uganda.

"I feel like sometimes God puts you in a platform where you're supposed to help other people. That touched my heart when I went out there. I wanted to give them the shirt off my back and help as soon as possible," he said. "With having gone through living in poverty and being happy with nothing, they channel that through their dance moves and their energy."

French also hopes the music video to his "Unforgettable" record will shed some light on the amazing talents of the youth in Uganda. He hopes the visuals and donation will raise awareness about the organization, as well as the issues of poverty in the country.
