Funeral Arrangements Set for T.S. Cooley Student, Wednesday

Lake Charles, La. — Funeral arrangements have been announced for eight-year-old Mathius Russell, a second grader who died at a local hospital after he collapsed during “Fun Day events” at T.S. Cooley Elementary School on last week.

On Thursday, May 19, KPLC broke the original story that quickly made its way around Facebook, where many offered their condolences and prayers to the family, and faculty, staff, and students of T.S. Cooley.

According to KPLC, “an account has been set up on Fondel Funeral Home's website to cover funeral expenses,” where you can donate and also get details about visitation.
