Gina Cook's Top 20 Best R&B Albums Of 2015 [VIDEO]

2015 saw a big return of R&B. Not that the genre went anywhere, there just hasn't been a whole lot to talk about. Over the past two years with artists like Charlie Wilson, Chris Brown, Usher, Johnny Gill, Raheem Devaughn, Trey Songz and Tank have kept the ol' love flame burning. While the sistas of R&B such as K. Michelle, Toni & Tamar Braxton, Jazmine Sullivan, Kourtney Heart and new comers like Tinashe, Sevyn Streeter and Alessia made sure the soul of the genre wasn't lost.

R&B is here to stay and with the return of artists like Babyface, Lala Hathaway, R. Kelly Monica and more, the future is bright! One artist in particular has proven to naysayers, fans and more importantly, himself, that he could weather the storm. Chris Brown has made it to the other side and no longer living the nightmares of his past. Through all the legal drama, public ridicule and embarrassment the kid is still standing. I love him for that!

Hopefully he can keep himself out of trouble and continue to bless us with his amazing singing, dancing and acting talent. Though he was ridiculously snubbed at the Grammy's and various other award shows, Chris Brown has continuously released hit after hit over the last past three years. Hate him or love him, his music talent can not be denied.

Between his last two albums X and Royalty, Breezy has dropped an amazing 9 singles: Don't They Know, Loyalty, New Flame, Love More, Fine China, Liquor, Zero, Back To Sleep and Fine By Me. That's not including his singles with Tyga, from the Fan of A Fan: The Album, nor all the songs he's "featured" on between 2014 and 2015. So big ups to Chris for all the hard work, it is finally starting to pay-off.
