Today, Oct. 11, marks the 25th birthday of Bronx female MC Cardi B!

Cardi—born Belcalis Almanzar—has had the ultimate come up since her television debut in late 2015. Fans first caught a glimpse of her on social media with her hilarious Instagram stories, which eventually led to her appearance on Love & Hip-Hop: New York's 6th season. It's been a Cinderella story ever since.

"I get my strength because I want the money and my fans. They constantly are asking me for music. I can’t give up," Cardi B told XXL back in May 2017. Luckily for Bardi Gang, the vivacious spitter hasn't gone back on her word. After the release of Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2, Cardi turned heads with her "Lick" video (featuring her boyfriend, Migos' Offset), before dropping the biggest single of her career to date—"Bodak Yellow."

Cardi B's name has been ringing bells after becoming the second solo female rap artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for "Bodak Yellow"—even Janet Jackson is digging the country's top single. Now, fans await her debut album, which Cardi may be pushing back, being the perfectionist she is. For Cardi, though, we'll wait foevaaaa.

Happy birthday, Cardi B!
