The 2018 Grammy nominations were announced this morning (Nov. 28), and hip-hop's rising rappers and veteran artists have made the cut. While JAY-Z leads in nods with a total of eight nominations in multiple categories, hip-hop is still prominent throughout the entire list.

Fans are currently sharing their reactions to the nominees on Twitter, with many expressing their excitement for Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" snagging two nominations, as well as Childish Gambino being considered for Album of the Year and other categories. JAY-Z's 4:44 album could potentially take home the biggest awards of the night, while Kendrick Lamar follows right behind with seven nominations for his DAMN. album.

Noticeably absent from the entire list of nominations is Drake, who reportedly did not submit More Life for Grammy consideration this year.

Future did not receive nominations for any categories, which comes as a surprise to fans, as his "Mask Off" single quickly reached platinum status at the beginning of 2017. If you recall, he released two albums at the top of the year, his self-titled Future project, as well as HNDRXX, which both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart.

Many are also excited that rising stars such as Goldlink, SZA, Kehlani, Lil Uzi Vert and Khalid landed themselves amongst the nominees.
