Inmate High Jacks Truck and Goes Airborne, GTA Style!

Dixie Inn, La. - A Caddo Parish inmate high jacked a pick-up truck and led sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase that ended in Webster Parish, where he later took the truck airborne after running over spike strips. He was working in a work release program.

18-year-old Kevonte Dekorey Austin, lost control of the Toyota Tacoma he stole. You can see in the video above as the truck barrels through the air at a high rate of speed, reportedly 115 mph. The pick-up ends up in the parking lot of a restaurant, where it landed on top of a Toyota Corolla.

A woman was in the car, but was not hurt and climbed out of the passenger side to safety. "I felt around to see if I was hurt and could tell that I was okay,” Barbara Harlon told KSLA. "God was with me."

Austin was reportedly in jail for car theft and a probation violation.
