I had a friend once who admitted to falling asleep at the wheel of his car at a red light because he had too much to drink before leaving a night club. Lucky for him no law enforcement officers ever pulled up next to him, nor did anyone report it. I’m also thankful at that period in his life that he didn’t cause harm to himself or anyone else by driving while intoxicated.

So it comes as no surprise to me that a police in San Diego had to rescue an allegedly intoxicated driver from a busy freeway. People seriously get that drunk, I really believe my friends story after seeing this viral video.

The young woman was passed out in the driver’s seat, a passerby attempted to wake her up all while trying to avoid oncoming traffic, until a California Highway Patrol officer arrived at the scene, according to a report.

The woman was removed from the vehicle after the officer shattered her passenger-side glass in order to gain access to the car, as it rolled slowly along the highway with the adjacent traffic. The woman was removed from the car and hand cuffed. Watch the raw video above.
