Brandy may be a little salty about Monica's resurgent fame via the popular #SoGoneChallenge.

The two R&B singers collaborated on 1998's "The Boy is Mine" and reunited with 2012’s "It All Belongs to Me." But it seems that the two haven't had a peachy friendship in real life.

In an interview with EW, a reporter asked the 37-year-old singer about their original duet. "People still love your 1998 duet with Monica, 'The Boy Is Mine,'" she said. "She said last year that the supposed beef between you guys was 'brilliant marketing.'"

But Brandy wasn't having it. "It was so long ago, I’m just in a different space. I don’t talk to Monica. We are on different paths," she said in response.

Along with the interview, Brandy has been sharing some seemingly petty messages on Instagram. "Pay attention to whom your energy increases and decreases around, because that's the universe giving you a hint of who you should embrace or stray from," read one post. The caption read "#BeenGone" which onlookers believe to be a reference to Monica's 2003 hit, "So Gone."

The track has gotten new life with the #SoGoneChallenge as several social media users spit a few rap bars over the Missy Elliott-produced beat.

After she got into a beef with a Instagram user, where she told them "Chile Bye," Brandy suggested that she should make a challenge out of it.

"Oh My GOD, this statement has be soooooooo relevant and soooooooo famous again (sarcastic) !! Should I do the #chilebychallenge for more validation?????" read her caption. "Lmao.... Or maybe I should drop a single like a remix or something so I can stay on top.... #challengesAreTheNewWave."
