The movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins's 2008 book "The Hunger Games" seems to be causing a bit of a frenzy with fans because of the skin tone of several characters in the movie.

I have yet to see last weeks box office hit "The Hunger Games" but it's obvious that fans were shocked by the choice of black actors playing roles of what seemed to be white characters in the book, or at least that's how fans of the book turned movie have taken it. The characters of focus are Rue, Thresh, & Cinna played by Amandla Sternberg, Dayo Okeniyi, and Lenny Kravitz. It's definitely cooked up some excessive & blantant racist comments from blogs, to facebook, & various twitter comments. All of that harsh criticism for a movie? Is this what life has come too?
