J. Cole and Meek Mill are bringing the musical vibes at the 2019 NBA All-Star game in Charlotte, N.C. next month.

On Tuesday night (Jan. 29), the NBA announced that Meek Mill will kick off the festivities by performing as the All-Star teams are being introduced. For the halftime show, Cole, who just dropped his single "Middle Child," is expected to perform a medley of tracks from his KOD album and more.

Along with Cole and Meek, Charlotte-born singer Anthony Hamilton will be on site to sing the national anthem. Singer Carly Rae Jepsen will handle the singing of Canada's national anthem.

This news comes after Dreamville Records announced that Cole's sixth studio album is on the way. Although the title has not been confirmed, it was just last year that Cole said he'd been putting in work on both The Fall Off album and his Kill Edward project. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

On the Meek Mill end of things, the rapper once again spotlighted criminal justice issues when he performed on Saturday Nighty Live last Saturday (Jan. 26). For his performance, he delivered dope live renditions of songs like "Going Bad," "Uptown Vibes" (with Fabolous) and his poignant Championships album standout "Championship." For the occasion, he promoted criminal justice reform by wearing a new, specially designed Puma sneaker called the Reform. The shoe brand hooked Meek up with the shoe, and proceeds from the sale of them will be used to help criminal justice reform.

The 68th annual NBA All-Star Game will air live from Charlotte's Spectrum Center on Feb. 17. at 8 p.m. EST on TNT. Check out the NBA and Dreamville's post about Cole's performance below.
