Jane Doe Doubles $10 Million Suit Against Usher, After Testing Positive For Herpes -Tha Wire

Today in Tha Wire, what a difference a day makes. The woman referred to as "Jane Doe" in yesterday's lawsuit news about Usher, has upped the ante on her case. Apparently she was waiting on test results to confirm whether or not, the R&B singer infected her with the herpes virus. Well Saturday she got her answer. YES! Allhiphop reports the woman's summer fling with the R&B star, resulted in her contracting the incurable STD.

As previously reported, Ms. Doe, claims she hooked up with Usher this year in April. According to her story, they had two sexual encounters. One protected, and the other not. The rendezvous allegedly went down in Atlanta, and in New Orleans at Jazz Fest. Somehow between now, and then, she found out the singer had herpes, and I guess decided to file suit against Usher on that fact alone. At the same time, she got tested, and was obviously holding out hope that she didn't get... well...burned. No pun intended either.

Obviously devastated with the recent bad news, the plaintiff is fuming and looking for some payback. Literally! New reports state Jane Doe increased her $10 million lawsuit, to $40 million. This week raised her punitive damages to $20 million, and threw in an additional $20 milli for emotional harm and medical care.

At last word, Usher and his camp are still in no comment mode.

For the life of me, I don't know why he doesn't go sit down somewhere! He is baggin somebody to lock him up forever, with his never ending sex scandals. In an update on his alleged sex cult/kidnapping story, the DailyMail.com reports the singer picked up a new heavyweight lawyer to help fight his case. Joining Kell's legal team is Bill Cosby’s former powerhouse attorney, Monique Pressley. For a quick side note, Pressley stepped down from the Cosby sex scandal, and to this day hasn't revealed why.

Interestingly enough, now she's on Kelly's team, an sources say girlfriend is an absolute beast at what she does. Peep her debate skills below! In the video, while working the Cosby case, Pressley debates with Own's Lamont Hill over the legitimacy of the accusations.

Specializing in civil litigation and crisis management, if anybody can get him off, she can. Linda Mensch, another part of the 50-year old entertainer's legal team released the following statement in regard to allegations Kelly held a young woman captive in a ‘sex cult’ at his properties in Chicago and Atlanta:

‘Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed at the recent revelations attributed to him. Mr Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.’
