Jealous Father Shoots Four-Year-Old Daughter and Himself in Murder Suicide of Her Mom’s New Boyfriend

Harris County, Texas -- A four-year-old was shot-and-killed by her father, because he was jealous of her mother’s new boyfriend. The father committed suicide.

According to KHOU, four-year-old Amyira was picked up by her father, Tarel Felder, from her mother’s home in Louisiana and brought to his mother's home in Katy, TX. After running a few errands on Thursday night, Felder’s mom returned to find her son dead and her granddaughter wounded. Though Amyira was rushed to a hospital, she died from her injuries. Doctors could not save her.

Police reported that Felder became angry when he learned Amyira’s mother and her new boyfriend had moved in together. Felder reportedly took to Instagram on Thursday with an eerie video in which he claimed God spoke to him the night before, and he states, “I’m through with the game, ya’ll can have it.”

Neighbors told KHOU that they did not hear or see anything strange at the home.
