He's a musical genius, humanitarian, philanthropist and producer.  However, who knew, sultry balladeer John Legend was working on a T.V. show!  Well he is, and closed a rather lucrative deal with NBC to bring it to life.  Be on the look out, in the near future John will bring his single-camera comedy project Mixed Blessings to T.V. near you.

According to the details, John will executive produce the show alongside former NBC executive Teri Weinberg and his partner Mike Jackson through their Get Lifted Film Co.    The show, is based on Mike Jackson's childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania actually.  It will focus on "a prominent black, street-bred hip-hop artist enjoying his single life.  However, he soon discovers that he has a teenage son and decides to connect with him and his white suburban family.

John had this to say about his project "It will explore the culture clash and the complicated journey of a father and son beginning their relationship as the dad soon discovers that fame, talent, and wealth get you nowhere when it comes to parenting".  Ain't that the truth.

Wow, this sounds like a good one!  That's Mixed Blessings by John Legend airing soon on NBC.
