The 39-year old rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, was locked up in 2008, after she broke a rum bottle over the head of ex-Atlanta Falcons cheerleader Shayla Stevens in 2007.  At the time of the incident, Shayla was a hostess during a Halloween Party at Jermaine Dupri's now defunct Studio 72 nightclub.

Brat plead guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to three years in prison.  She was released in February of 2011 and was quickly slapped with a civil lawsuit.  Shayla Stevens filed suit and claims she had "permanent facial scarring, neurological impairment and severe mental pain." She also said her extensive injuries ruined her acting aspirations.

In a statement last week, Stevens attorney said,  "Ms. Stevens suffered permanent damage to her face including possible neurological damage, forcing her to relinquish her duties with the Atlanta Falcons and to give up a budding acting career with an appearance on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne television show."

The civil suit jumped off in court this week on Monday (Feb 24) and there’s already drama.  The presiding judge has declared a mistrial in the case, because a juror lied three times under oath about being a American citizen.

In other drama, moving to Atlanta hasn't stopped Justin Bieber’s mounting legal problems.  TMZ is reporting, police found a stolen camera in a black Escalade parked at a mansion the 19-year-old is renting this week.  According to law enforcement, Tuesday afternoon Justin rented out an amusement park.  When he was getting ready to leave, a member of his security team went outside the park to ready the singers Escalade.  He was greeted by several dozen paparazzi, and told them to stay cool because Justin was about to come out.

From there, TMZ reports the security guy got into a verbal altercation with one of the photographer’s and ended up grabbing the guy's camera.  He then handed it to the driver and the vehicle drove off.  Apparently, the photographer followed them and alerted police of the situation.
