Kanye West is reportedly being sued for not paying a producer enough for his role in the making of “New Slaves,” from his 2013 album Yeezus.

According to TMZ, West received permission from Hungarian producer Gabor Presser to sample his work, but the deal they set up was never completely nailed down.

Gabor agreed, but says that was only under the assumption a formal deal would be laid out, said TMZ.

Presser reportedly received $10,000 in advance from Kanye to use the sample, but he never cashed the check. The producer is now suing for $2.5 million.
