Kanye West and Kid Cudi were once beefing with each other, but it looks like they have settled their differences and are working on a hush-hush collaborative album.

Page Six reports that Yeezy and Cudder are in the studio in Japan working on the “top-secret project.” Both men have been relatively reclusive within the last year, as they've individually battled with mental health issues.

"They’re going to drop some crazy collaboration out of the blue,” the insider told Page Six. "They’re going to drop some surprise project on everybody. They’re recording it now.”

"Nobody knows what it is — or what it sounds like," the source adds. "There are no professionals in the room. It’s just Cudi, Kanye and an engineer. They’re recording together in Japan.”

We wonder if that engineer is none other than legendary studio maverick Mike Dean, who has worked with both Kanye and Cudi on numerous projects. Things that make you go, hmmm.

This news comes as Kid Cudi announced dates for his upcoming "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'" Tour. The 27-city trek will kick off on Sept. 30 in Philadelphia and will wrap up on Nov. 22 in Seattle. You can peep his full tour itinerary here.
