From the shade thrown at Iggy Azalea to the first ever Soul Train Soul Cypher. The Soul Train awards on BET last night was something that was very impressive. I watched from the beginning to the end and from appearances of Chrisette Michelle, to Lalah Hathaway and the shut down with R. Kelly. The show was packed. Of course we have to give it up for our girl Miss Erykah Badu who killed it on stage as the host and a performer as well.

They also did a tribute last night to Babyface who from the eighties to now has a catalog out of this world. He is known for being the magic pen whether writing for established like The Whispers and Aretha Franklin to at the time new artist like Tevin Campbell and Boyz To Men and also TLC. He is also known for writing a killer song for an artist who was known on a smaller scale until her song blew up on the radio. She goes by the name Karyn White who would later go on to marry and later divorce Terry Lewis of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. She had a huge hit called "Superwoman" and while the tribute was going on, they had Fantasia to do the song.

People immediately got on social media and started to rant about where Karyn was and why she couldn't perform her own song. While Fantasia did a great job, you have to wonder what happened. Well Karyn came out of hiding to address to talk and you can hear what she has to say about it.

B.E.T has been known to spark a little controversy and I am sure that this was the idea with the decision to have Karyn White not be on the show and have Fantasia do the performance. I guess it wouldn't have been so bad if Fantasia hadn't gotten through performing "Shoop" by Whitney Houston. Also the fact that they had Brandy, Bobby Brown, After 7 and more on the show, so why not Karyn. She currently is touring as she said and also has new music out as well. And for 50 years old, she is still looking just as beautiful as ever.
