The 67-year-old told Star Magazine that the two haven’t spoken in over 20 years and he feels it’s time they meet.  Kelly’s dad was physically abusive to her mom Doris and admits that is what estranged him from his daughter for over two decades.  Now he’s hoping to make a mends before “It’s too late.  Mr. Lovett told the magazine,

“So many previous years have passed and I’m getting old.  I just pray she comes back into my life before it’s too late.” As for his abuse against Kelly’s mom, Lovett revealed,  “I couldn’t control it. I hoped I could make it up to her. But I’m still waiting for that day.”

Meanwhile, Lovett claims that he’s reached out to K.Row on several occasions, adding “Whenever [Destiny's Child] was on the cover of a magazine, I would call and beg them to tell her I was looking for her.”

In k-Row’s defense, the singer has been very open about wanting to reunite with her father in the past. So, who her dad has allegedly reaching out too, I don’t know.  Listen to Tha Wire below and listen to what Kelly had to say about her dad.
