When Lil Wayne announced that he’s “mentally defeated” and could possibly retire from the rap, several rappers have reached out urging him to not quit the game. However, one rapper, who cites Weezy as a major influence on him, went on a drunken rage pleading with the Young Money leader to not retire.

Kendrick Lamar recorded himself live from the studio at 5:30 a.m. in the morning, while he was listening to several of Lil Wayne’s classic tracks. The Compton rhymer then stops to deliver a public service announcement about Tunechi’s retirement claims.

"N----s talkin’ bout squad up, that’s cliche! We going all the way back, when he was motherfuckin’ 16, 15 years old on some Hot Boy s---," he said while "off the juice." "Day one...n---- talking ’bout retiring and s---. F--- that, n----! Retire, quitting rap, whatever you wanna call it. F--- that, n----."

"I’m in the motherf---in’ studio, nigga, doing motherf---in’ features, n----," he continues. "I seen you, 2007, 2008, I seen you knock out 10 motherf---in’ features in a row, back to back, n----...f--- you talking bout, boy? This motherf---er, man. No, n----. No! No! No! No!"

It's no secret that K.Dot is a huge Lil Wayne fan. In fact, he calls him "the Greatest" and hopes to carve out the same musical legacy as the rap veteran.

“Lil Wayne is the greatest. Not only because of his music but also because of the culture he put behind it," he said. “Juvenile as well. And yeah, it’s the impact of them, man. To be a part of it the same way [Wayne] was a part of it years later is just a great feeling.”
