AllHipHop reports Kendrick Lamar is paying it forward in more way than one.  For starters, last year in October the rapper got an opportunity to meet his biggest fan, the one and only POTUS.  As previously reported President Barack Obama said in interview with People, his favorite song from 2015 was Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost" from one of the hottest albums of the year To Pimp a Butterfly For Kendrick, truly had to be a dream come true to meet with America's first black President in the Oval Office one-on-one. Though there is no footage of the visit, for obvious reasons, there's no doubt that he will remember the precious moment forever.

February is National Mentoring Month, and Kendrick Lamar is featured in a new video encouraging men to reach out to our youth.  In the video, for mentoring.org, he talks about his special encounter with President Obama and the difference male mentors like him, have made in his life.

Had it not been for the positive men/mentors in his life, Kendrick said he may never had become the man he is today or got a chance to sit-down with Americas famous two-term President.  He talks about he and the POTUS sharing some of the same concerns like “topics concerning the inner cities, the problem, the solutions, and furthermore embracing the youth.”

Where speaking of which, K-Dot is proud to be a part of President's My Brother’s Keeper initiative, a mentoring program comprised of businesses, mayors, state, local, faith leaders and more, all committed to creating more pathways to success for young men. Now paying it forward by being a mentor himself, Compton MC is urging men around to country to do the same and help make a difference in a child's life.

During an interview with BuzzFeed’s Another Round podcastValerie Jarrett, the Presidents Senior Advisor and Assistant for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs spoke of K-Dots visit saying,

"He came and he visited the President, and you know what the president said to him?" "Can you believe that we’re both sitting in this Oval Office?”
