Kendrick Lamar has only released a handful of collaborations with Dr. Dre a handful of times, but according to the DAMN. rapper, he's received a ton of valuable tips from the producer.

During an interview at the Forbes' Under 30 Summit in Boston on Tuesday (Oct. 3), K. Dot revealed some of the best advice he received from Dre. "You gotta continue to work, you're gonna make mistakes along the way, but you have to ask questions," the rapper said. "That's something I'm learning now. I don't know it all. I have to ask questions. I'm still fairly a new cat, as far as being a business man."

Elsewhere in the discussion, the "Loyalty" rapper was also asked for his thoughts on NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kendrick praised the quarterback, saying he's doing good for the next generation. "He wants to stand for something," he said. "Simple as that. You don't look at the moment, whether it's gonna work or not. No, you look at what the next generation is gonna receive from it."

Up next for Kendrick after wrapping up the North American leg of his DAMN. Tour, the rapper will be heading to Europe for 15 shows. Teaming up with singer James Blake, K. Dot will kick off the trek on Feb. 7, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland before making stops in the United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The European leg of his tour ends on March 5.
