It seems Kevin Gates won’t be getting out of jail until further notice.

According to AllHipHop, the Louisiana rapper, real name Kevin Gilyard, was denied bond on Wednesday, April 19, and remains at Kendall County Jail.

He was set to be released from the Polk County, Florida jail on March 24, after serving an almost six-month sentence for kicking a female fan at a Florida-based concert in August 2015. As Gates was being processed for release authorities learned there was an out of state warrant issued for his arrest. Weeks later he was extradited to Illinois.

The “What If” rapper is currently in jail for felony weapons charges that reportedly include aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, stemming from a 2013 incident in Illinois.
