Kid Cudi may not be thrilled with his record label at the moment, but his acting career is in high gear. The rapper has signed on to star in the racing action flick 'Need for Speed.'

According to ScreenCrush, the movie is based on the popular video game of the same name and stars 'Breaking Bad' star Aaron Paul.

The film is set around the 1970's car culture and centers on a local street racer (Paul), who, after being framed for his friend's death, joins a competitive racing event to get his revenge. Cudi will play a member of his racing crew. The movie is set for a theatrical release in February 2014.

In the past couple of years, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has made a name for himself in the acting community. Cudi is mostly known for his role as Domingo Brown in the now-canceled HBO series 'How to Make It in America.' Cudders recently joined the cast of the Max Nichols-directed romantic comedy 'Two Night Stand.' There's also reports that the 'Day 'N' Nite' creator will also star in the 'Ninja Turtles' reboot.

It looks like Kid Cudi's acting career is in the fast lane. We wish him luck!
