Another week, another example of South Park's unexpected use of hip-hop. This one comes in the form of a new Killer Mike verse as the Run The Jewels rapper spits about mass incarceration... in nursing homes.

The episode, titled "Hummels & Heroin," is a commentary on the current opioid crisis plaguing the U.S., and at some point, it compares living in a nursing home to being in prison. With his knack for political raps, Killer Mike was a natural choice to deliver a verse about the subject.

“They put me here to die, left me angry and alone/For the crime of being old, they threw me in this nursing home," Killer Mike spits on the track, before going on to use the same language sociologists use to describe the fundamental flaws of mass incarceration.

As we alluded to before, South Park has either used or referenced hip-hop in three episodes so far this season. In the first episode of season 21, the show had a character perform a gruesome version of Kendrick Lamar's "Humble." A week later, Eric Cartman spoofed Logic's suicide-prevention song “1-800-273-8255.″
