Today in Tha Wire, CNN reports in the early morning hours, Kim Kardashian West was tied-up and robbed at gunpoint in Paris. French Interior Ministry say the thieves gained access to the star because they were dressed like police officers. Kim's spokeswoman said she wasn't harmed, but "badly shaken" in the incident.

Kanye was performing in New York at the Meadows Festival Sunday night, but minutes after the robbery took place, he was notified about what happened to Kim and he shut his show down right in the middle of his performance. A fan was actually filming when she captured the panic in his voice as he announcement, "I have a family emergency, I'm sorry I have to leave." Peep the video below.

Kanye left the stage immediately, as thousands of his fans stood in shock. Organizers of the festival quickly explained the show was over, but didn't give details as to why, just that the rapper had to leave. They simply told fans that, due to the emergency, Kanye wouldn't be back to finish his show. Then, they took to Twitter to announce the concert was cancelled, and sent the rapper and his family best wishes.

Here's how French officials say the robbery went down. First of all, Kim, along with her mother Kris and sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, were all in Paris for fashion week. The reality star and her family were staying in a lavish private apartment at a 19th-century mansion they frequent called Hotel de Pourtales in Paris. The enormous compound has nine apartments in all, and celebs like Prince, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Madonna are among the big names who've stayed there.

Five masked men dressed like cops got in and threatened the mansion butler (other accounts say it was a night guard) with a weapon at about 2:30/3:00am, Paris time. Then, they forced the concierge/guard to open Kim's private apartment and handcuffed him. Below is a look at what one of the apartments looks like, as well as a street view of the outside.

The crooks made off with two cell phones, a ring worth $4.49 million, another $5 million in various jewels, her purse, a jewelry box =, and few other items. In all, the French Interior Ministry said the value of the heist was about $10 million. Paris police say at least two of the robbers made their escape on bikes. Below are more details.

FYI, it's being reported that Kim was in the apartment by herself at the time of the robbery. Her mom and sisters were not there, and it's unclear as to whether or not they had Kim's children North and Saint, or if the kids were even on the trip. What is clear, is that they weren't with her.

The robbery is currently under investigation, and French authorities vowed to employ "all possible means to solve the case and arrest the perpetrators".  Meanwhile, PEOPLE magazine and several other media outlets are confirming that Kardashian was on social media minutes before the robbery, posting several selfies and notes on Instagram and Snapchat. Social media crime and Security experts told PEOPLE that this could have made the star a target.
