The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has announced the official cause of death of Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Kim Porter.

The late model and mother died of lobar pneumonia, the coroner revealed on Friday (Jan. 25), per TMZ. Lobar pneumonia is an inflammation of an entire lobe of the lungs.

Porter died on Nov. 15, 2018, at the age of 47 after she suffered a cardiac arrest at her Los Angeles home. At the time, sources told TMZ that she had been battling flu-like symptoms during what might have been a battle with pneumonia in the weeks preceding her death. Their sources also said that Porter had called her doctor a day prior, telling them that her condition hadn't improved.

Porter was buried in her hometown of Columbus, Ga., on Nov. 24. Diddy and family were in attendance as they bid their final farewell. The homegoing service took place at Cascades Hills Church. Porter's son Quincy Brown and Diddy delivered heartfelt eulogies, while Faith Evans performed "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and Yolanda Adams sang "Just a Prayer Away" during the ceremony. Rappers like Missy Elliott, Fat Joe, Lil' Kim and were among the 1,500 mourners in attendance.

“God broke the mold when he made Kim. There was truly no other woman like her,” reads a statement from Diddy and Porter's families following her death. “Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend. She was the epitome of kindness and grace. There wasn’t a person she met [whose] soul she did not touch. Kim was the type of woman who changed lives for the better.”

Kim Porter is survived by her four children: Quincy, 27; Christian, 20; and 11-year-old twin girls D'Lila Star and Jessie James.
