Today in Tha Wire Kobe and Vanessa Bryant have a little something extra to celebrate this Christmas. December 5th, the happy couple welcomed their baby girl, Bianka Bella Bryant.  The newest Bryant member weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces and is the couples third child.  Kobe and Vanessa will have a lot of help raising little Bianka, with big sisters 13-year old ,Natalia Diamante and 10-year old Gianna Maria-Onore around.

The NBA legend shared a precious pic of his baby girl on Instagram yesterday with the caption: “@vanessabryant and I are beyond excited to welcome our newest baby girl, Bianka!!” Kobe wrote on Instagram. “#BabyBlessing #SweetBaby #AnotherAngel. Bianka Bella Bryant.”

She is absolutely beautiful!  Congrats to them both.

In other news Nicki Minaj has been pretty quiet as far as music is concerned this year. She did a little something appearing on tracks like DJ Khaled's "Do You Mind", the remix to Young M.A.’s “OOOUUU” and Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles.” Other than that, the Queen Barb hasn't dropped anything new in a minute.  Earlier this year she talked about a forthcoming album being released before the end of the year, but that turned out to be a joke.  However, I have no doubt she's been in the lab working on a new project.

In the meantime, Nick is wrapping up the year with a big bang.  The Young Money femcee will bring in the New Year with a documentary airing on TV.  So feast your eyes or set the DVR, cause it's going down!  Catch the Pinkprint Tour: Nicki Minaj Live From Brooklyn,  December 31 at 10 pm/9 pm Central on BET.

Finally Big Sean is also looking to get an early start on making an impact on 2017.  The rapper announced via Instagram his new album, I Decided, will drop on February 2.  In addition, Sean Don gave fans a peek at the artwork for the LP and a listen to his next single, "Moves." Check it out below.

I Decided is now available for pre-order on iTunes.  By the way the albums lead-off single, “Bounce Back," just earned him a spot in Billboard's Top 40 last week.

In closing our best wishes go to Nick Cannon. We're hoping for his speedy recovery as the star has been hospitalized do to fair-ups from Lupus.  Cannon was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in 2012 and explained to the Huffpost what it was like to hear he was sick.  He said, "It was superscary just because you don't know ... you've never heard of [lupus]," he continued. "I knew nothing about it until I was diagnosed.... But to me, I'm healthier now than I've ever been before."

According to reports it looks like the star is going to have to spend Christmas in the hospital. Cannon revealed on Instagram that he has been hospitalized with the caption, “For all who have been trying to contact me the last few days this is where I’ve been,” Cannon wrote. “And I will be in the Hospital through Christmas. All good though, Doctors say I will be back to normal before the New Year. #LupusSucks #ncredible #warrior.”

During his interview with HuffPost the star revealed he is the only member of his family to have been diagnosed with the disease. He explained, “When you hear the words ‘autoimmune disease’ or ‘lupus,’ it’s like, ‘Whoa, what is that?'” he said. “That’s how I felt, and that’s how my family and friends felt as well…. But you realize it’s something that you can live with and actually overcome with the proper research and with the proper support system."

Get better Nick and Merry Christmas everybody!  For all things entertainment listen to Tha Wire twice a day, every weekday and only on The Peoples Station 107 Jamz.
