What do you do with your fingernail and toenail clippings?  Do you keep them in a jar?  Of course you don't -- that's crazy talk, isn't it?  Well, not if you're 58-year-old Richard Gibson of Lafayette. For him, that's just a regular ol' Tuesday afternoon.

Gibson is being featured in the latest book from Ripley's Believe it or Not! for having kept every one of his toenails and fingernails since February 1978. That's 36 years, for those of you reaching for a calculator. I'm only 34, for perspective -- he's got body trash in a jar that's older than I am.

Gibson ... was clipping his toenails when he decided to put the clippings into the manicure box instead of the trash can.

"I started doing it again and again and then decided to see how long it would take to fill the box," he said proudly.

It took only two years to fill the box, but by then he was hooked, and moved his collection to the glass jar he currently uses. -- Huffington Post

He has no idea how many clippings are in the jar, by the way. He said his ex-wife used to hide the jar when people came over. You get the feeling that maybe ol' Richard is just keeping them to spite her?
