Lake Charles Christmas Events & Activities

The holiday season in Southwest Louisiana is underway, and the joy of Christmas is in the air. The City of Lake Charles and the surrounding area have a variety of Christmas Events and activities scheduled throughout the 2023 holiday season.

On November 25, the annual Lake Charles Christmas Lighting Ceremony launched the local holiday festivities. There are many events for couples, groups, and families to enjoy, such as holiday markets, parades, and meet & greets with Ol’ St. Nick. Take a drive or a horse-drawn carriage ride downtown to see the lights around the Event Center and along Shell Beach Drive.

Take a moment to create family Christmas cards with photo ops in front of the Event Center or at the Prien Lake Park’s Giant Christmas tree. Another excellent holiday picture opportunity is in Sulphur's winter wonderland at The Grove at Heritage Square.
