Come out to the 3rd annual Dragon Boat Race today (Saturday April 25, 2015), beginning at 9 a.m.  It's all brought to you by the St. Patrick Hospital Foundation and this year 28 teams will compete, all raising money and awareness about the Children's Miracle Network.  This event is getting bigger and bigger and beings that it benefits such a good cause, that's a very good thing.

Here's a look at a race last year with team Triton.  It's pretty intense, but it looks like fun!

According to St. Patrick Foundation, the concept behind the Dragon Races are as follow; 20 members paddle a 41-foot vessel to the beat of their Team Drummer.  Each Team has a unique theme, name and competes in 2 races for their best time.

After the qualifying races, all the Teams are put into groups of three based on best time and then they race again, to establish the winners in each group.
